If you are planning a baby shower, you will need to take the time to decide on some fun and festive baby shower decoration ideas.
The inspiration for the shower can come from anywhere. I went to a beautiful shower where the theme came from a book that was given to the mom when she first became aware she was pregnant. It had nursery rhymes, poetry, gorgeous vintage illustrations, and much more. It seemed fitting because Baby’s nursery was planned around the colors of a beautiful quilt her mother had made… red, yellow, and blue. Not your typical baby-girl colors, but this mom is anything but typical!
Whether it is a sweet little girl, or a bouncing baby boy that is on the way, it doesn’t matter. You can find a theme to suit both the baby and the mom to be.
Nothing says celebration like balloons so use them! You just purchase the colors that suit. Tails of streamers will make the room look more festive. You may even like to attach baby items such as rattles for weights or to just have them floating near the ceiling. You can add a touch of elegance with flowers. There are flowers of all colors to choose from, and just use the appropriate vases. Strategically placed candles can also help to carry the color theme throughout the room. In addition to using traditional décor, such as balloons, why not do something a bit more creative as well?

- Let your gift double as a centerpiece.
- Fill a wicker basket with baby supplies for mom and baby.
- Fill clear balloons with confetti and small baby accessories.
- Create a diaper cake.
You should be able to find simple instructions online. Basic baby supplies, such as diapers, onesies and binkies are arranged creatively, to look like a cake. After the party, the new mom can use the items for her baby.
